Have pity on the bunny! Fallen grass harms the ecological system of Crimea

The reason for such fires is often the dangerous and unreasonable tradition of the population to set fire to dry grass in the fields in order to clean up last year’s grass. But by burning dry grass, people disrupt the process of humus formation and impoverish soil fertility, causing significant harm to nature.
Also, one of the important factors contributing to the aggravation of the situation with fires is the overgrowth of unused agricultural land with trees, shrubs and weeds, especially if such areas are located near the forest.
Since the beginning of this year, 295 fires associated with the burning of dry vegetation have been eliminated in Crimea. Over the past weekend, grass fires were eliminated in the Leninsky, Bakhchisarai and Pervomaisky districts.
Grass fire can easily become a forest fire, reach the settlement and burn houses, and also cause poisoning of people and animals by combustion products. Persons guilty of violating fire safety rules, depending on the nature of the violation and their consequences, bear disciplinary, administrative or criminal liability— emphasize the Crimean rescuers.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea recalls the need to strictly observe fire safety rules.
