In Crimea, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the prosecutor’s office are investigating the circumstances of the tragedy that occurred on the evening of April 30 near Feodosia.
At about 23:00 in the village of Podgornoye, the driver of a Nissan Primera car did not comply with the legal requirements of a traffic police officer to stop, increased speed and tried to hide, endangering the life and health of other road users. While chasing the offender, the police demanded to stop on the speakerphone, but the driver did not respond. In accordance with the requirements of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation “On the Police”, an employee of the State Traffic Inspectorate used an AKS-74U service firearm, firing a shot into the air and a few at the wheels of the car. The offender allowed to leave the carriageway, where he collided with protective supports and allowed the car to overturn. An ambulance was immediately called to the scene. According to the Crimean prosecutor’s office, acting prosecutor of the city of Feodosia Karina Fakhrutdinova and deputy prosecutor of the city Roman Bobrik went to the scene in order to coordinate the actions of law enforcement agencies.
