Based on the materials of the Sevastopol interdistrict environmental prosecutor’s office, a criminal case was initiated on the fact of illegal destruction of forest plantations in the Baidarsky reserve
It was established that oak trees were cut down within the Ternovsky district forestry on the territory of the Baidarsky State Natural Regional Significance in the absence of permits. The amount of damage caused to the city amounted to almost 46 thousand rubles. The environmental prosecutor’s office sent the materials of the check to the body of preliminary investigation. Based on the results of their consideration, the department of inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Balaklavsky district of the city of Sevastopol initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal logging of forest plantations in a significant amount)— noted in the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.
