In Yalta, the police «covered» a drug den

Police officers in Yalta received operational information about the possible involvement of a 45-year-old local resident in organizing illegal activities related to drug trafficking.

The operatives documented the fact that the suspects organized a drug den. The illegal activity of the suspect was stopped by the employees of the drug control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta. It was established that the attacker systematically provided drug addicted friends with the premises of his apartment for the use of drugs. The suspect’s home was searched by the police. Devices for the use of drugs, items for packaging substances were found and seized in the dwelling.— noted in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Crimea.

The owner of the apartment, who had previously been prosecuted for drug offenses, confessed to his deed and wrote a confession.

In relation to him, the department of inquiry of OP No. 2 «Livadiysky» of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 232 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Organization or maintenance of dens or systematic provision of premises for the consumption of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues).

The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of up to four years in prison.

The attacker was given a preventive measure in the form of detention.
