Pistachios near Sevastopol's Kruglaya Bay — a natural monument

The government of Sevastopol, at a meeting chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, approved a resolution declaring the pistachio pistachios near the Kruglyaya Bay as a natural monument of regional significance. The pistachio plant is listed both in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and in the Red Book of Sevastopol. Especially a lot of these trees grow on the territory of the Kruglaya Bay. Previously, there was a threat of development of the territory and the destruction of trees, but after the intervention of the governor, it was decided to leave this zone green.

The decision is long overdue. It is necessary to plan a project for the improvement of the territory and make a full-fledged park for people in this densely populated area , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

On the territory of the natural monument, construction, placement of capital construction objects is prohibited, with the exception of construction, placement of linear facilities within the framework of improvement.

The prohibition includes changing the types of permitted use of land plots, providing land plots for development, using open fire, making fires, using pyrotechnics, blasting, destroying, damaging flora and other restrictions that may harm a natural monument.

On the territory of a natural monument, in accordance with the established procedure, it is allowed to carry out only the following types of activities: carrying out fire-fighting, sanitary and recreational and other preventive measures; implementation of environmental protection measures, measures for the maintenance of green spaces; conducting scientific research; implementation of environmental education activities, conducting educational excursions, lectures, lessons, transit walks; improvement of the territory of the natural monument (using natural materials); overhaul of existing linear facilities, communications, their reconstruction without increasing the size of the right of way and (or) security zones of such facilities; conducting archaeological excavations and reconnaissance.
