Yesterday, at 10:40, the GKU RK «CRIMEA-SPAS» received a message from the operational duty officer of the Belogorsk police department that they needed help in carrying out search and rescue operations of an elderly man (born in 1945) — a resident of the village. Petrovo, Belogorsk district, who left home at about 00:40 on May 23 and has not returned to date.
A duty shift of the Belogorsk emergency rescue team of the GKU RK «CRIMEA-SPAS», consisting of 3 people, was sent to the area of search operations. Upon arrival, after interviewing local residents, the rescuers began search operations. As a result, two hours later, the victim was found in a ravine near a spring, near Lake Samartsy, in an exhausted state with obvious signs of hypothermia. Employees of KRYM-SPAS wrapped the man in an isophilic blanket and provided psychological assistance. Then, on a stretcher, he was transported to an ambulance for further hospitalization.— announced the details of the story in the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Crimea.
As it became known, during a walk, the man lost his way, lost his bearings, because of which he was exhausted and could not get out on his own. In total, the victim spent more than 30 hours in the mountain-forest zone.
