The head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov held a meeting of the Interfaith Council of Crimea «Peace is a gift of God.»
Over the years of work, the Interfaith Council of Crimea “Peace is a gift of God” has shown itself to be an important tool that makes a huge contribution to the development and prosperity of the Russian Crimea, to the establishment of peace and harmony between people. Spiritual leaders support traditional values, inspire all Crimeans, regardless of nationality or religion, to live in peace and harmony, mutual respect and mutual assistance— said the Head of the Crimea.
Sergey Aksyonov thanked the Council members for the spiritual support of the soldiers participating in the NMD, for humanitarian assistance to the inhabitants of new regions and refugees.
Authorities can always rely on the leaders of confessions. Thank you for the correct position in life, for unity in supporting the President, our Armed Forces— added the Head of the Republic of Crimea.
The results of the activities of the Council and activities planned for 2023 were discussed at the meeting. In addition, the topic of the construction of the Cathedral Mosque in Simferopol was raised. According to Sergei Aksyonov, work continues at the facility.
The contractor has reached a serious pace, the supports have already been installed and electricity has been connected. At the end of the summer, all work should be completed, the funds are in full— said the Head of the Republic.
The event was attended by the Head of the Crimean Metropolis, His Eminence Metropolitan Lazar of Simferopol and Crimea, the Mufti of Muslims of Crimea Haji Emirali Ablaev, representatives of other traditional faiths.
