The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation conceptually supported the idea of introducing school badges as an element of the uniform of students. The Ministry of Education of Russia has considered your proposals on the issue of introducing the wearing of badges in educational institutions, as well as the development and approval of the design of badges, and informs that it conceptually supports these proposals, the document says. — The issues of developing and approving the design of badges of the Ministry of Education of Russia will be further worked out together with the Russian Movement of Children and Youth «Movement of the First».
The Deputy Minister pointed out that at present «educational organizations have the opportunity in their local acts to define badges as an element of a school uniform«.
At the same time, the Ministry of Education of Russia took the initiative to establish the obligation of the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that carry out state administration in the field of education (hereinafter referred to as the authorized bodies) to establish general requirements for school uniforms at the regional level. After making appropriate changes to the law on education, the authorized bodies will be recommended to define badges as an element of school uniformshe added.
Earlier, the first deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Education, Yana Lantratova, turned to the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Sergei Kravtsov, with a proposal to introduce school badges. As the deputy noted, wearing such badges is an important element of education, belonging, and identification. According to her, they should become «the pride of the younger generation, an attribute of patriotism, high moral principles, as it was in the Soviet Union«.
