New measures of social support for medical workers established in Crimea
Doctors working in Crimea can now count on reimbursement of expenses for renting residential premises. These funds can be used to pay off a mortgage loan. The relevant amendments to the law «On Health Care in the Republic of Crimea», introduced by the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, were supported at a session of the Crimean Parliament in two readings.
As Anna Rubel, Chairman of the Committee on Health and Social Policy of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, explained, this bill is aimed at improving the living conditions of medical workers and will help increase the social protection of medical workers and increase the prestige of their work.
The adopted changes will allow attracting new medical workers to work in the Crimean state medical organizations, as well as retaining qualified medical personnel in these organizations, which will lead to a reduction in the staffing shortageshe clarified.
At the same time, Anna Rubel noted that the draft law does not specify the administrative-territorial affiliation and the implementation of this measure exclusively on the territory of the Republic of Crimea:
One of the serious issues of the Crimean healthcare is the provision of the population with medical personnel. In order to implement the plan to staff medical organizations with medical personnel, the relevant parliamentary committee considers it necessary to consolidate the implementation of this measure of social support exclusively in the territory of Crimea.
Parliamentarians supported the proposed changes. The law will enter into force ten days after the day of its official publication.
