At the Artek International Children’s Center, much attention is paid to patriotic education and support for military personnel who are defending our Motherland. Artek residents write letters to fighters on the front line and in hospitals, create gifts with their own hands. Recently, the guys were able to communicate with our soldiers, personally ask questions to the participants of the special military operation.
Combat officers, the real heroes of our time, met with the Artek people. The guests told the children why they chose the profession of a military man, how they live on the front line, how they keep in touch with relatives and friends. The children were interested to learn about the combat experience of the officers, whether they were injured, whether they had medals.
The meeting was very exciting. I have an uncle who works for me, and I know that it can be hard for him at times. I was glad to meet with the military, to find out how they live. Despite all the difficulties, they find time to meet with us. Such meetings must be held so that children understand that the most important thing is to protect our country , — Veronika Shitikova from Moscow shared her impressions of the meeting.
The children asked the guests their questions and thanked the officers for the interesting conversation. The guys say that the participants of the special military operation are for them a real example of courage, resilience and patriotism.
My family raised me as a patriot of my country. I was told from childhood that I should be a mountain for my Motherland. This meeting was very important for me. I am sure that we, children, should be told such stories. And the fact that they are told by people who guard our security is very valuable to me. I am a member of the organization of Russian young scouts. This organization collects money and clothes for our soldiers, as well as families in need. I would like to tell the soldiers that we are proud of them and always support them , — said Valeria Mallaeva from Kerch.
Guests of the International Children’s Center noted that such support from children is especially important, because it gives positive emotions and gives strength to heroic deeds:
«Artek» always leaves only the most positive emotions. There are smart and radiant children here. They ask very serious questions for their age. Naturally, I don’t want to share everything that we see, but I consider it important to pass on my experience to the future generation.
At the end of the meeting, the children presented the participants of the NWO with souvenirs from Artek, as well as a large box with letters and gingerbread for the soldiers on the front line. The Artek people approached the military and heartily thanked them for defending the Motherland and for the fact that they can live in peace thanks to such heroes.
