Wow fine! In Simferopol, an unscrupulous contractor was fined 42 million rubles

In Simferopol, by order of the prosecutor, the contractor was fined 42 million rubles for failure to fulfill obligations under the contract.
It was established that between the MKU «Department of City Economy of the Administration of the City of Simferopol» and a limited liability company a contract was concluded for the performance of work related to the improvement of public areas of the city. At the same time, the contractor failed to fulfill its obligations under the contract in terms of construction and installation works and landscaping works within the prescribed period, which led to the termination of the contract by the Department of Municipal Economy. The amount of unfulfilled obligations by the contractor amounted to almost 42 million rubles— reported in the prosecutor’s office of the Crimea.
On the fact of the revealed violation, the prosecutor in relation to the company initiated an administrative case under Part 7 of Art. 7.32 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (inaction resulting in non-fulfillment of obligations under the contract for the performance of work for the needs of customers, with the infliction of significant harm to the legally protected interests of society and the state).
The Justice of the Peace of the Kyiv Judicial District sentenced the guilty legal entity to a fine of almost 42 million rubles. The decision has entered into force. At present, work on the facilities has been completed.
