Crimea intends to maintain high rates of road construction
At a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, issues of road construction in the Crimea were discussed. Conclusion: the pace is good, the quality of roads is improving, it is impossible to stop and slow down the progress of work.
Considering the high pace of road construction in the regions, it is necessary to maintain the given dynamics for the successful implementation of the set goals, including projects that are not planned for the current year, for which significant amounts of funding are provided for in the budget of the republic— noted Vladimir Konstantinov, chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea.
He recalled that the plans of the road builders include the construction of a “second Taurida” — the Dzhankoy — Rostov-on-Don highway, as well as the overhaul of the Simferopol — Dzhankoy highway.
According to First Deputy Minister of Transport Nikolai Lukashenko, during the period from 2014 to 2022, 3,958 km of roads were built, reconstructed and overhauled on the territory of the Republic, of which 897 km were municipal roads, and a number of large and socially significant facilities were implemented, technical base for the maintenance of the road network and utilities.
This year, the road to the fortress «Kerch», access roads to the Art Cluster «Tavrida», a section of the road from the embankment of the village of Ordzhonikidze to the plant «Gidropribor» are planned for commissioning, work is planned on profiling 3 thousand km of dirt and gravel roads in municipalities , repair of 25 bridges and overpasses.
The parliament also listed problem regions (not only villages, districts, but also cities), where road builders should make efforts Armyansk, Feodosia, Alushta, Kerch, Yalta, as well as Krasnogvardeisky, Simferopol, Chernomorsky, Dzhankoysky, Razdolnensky and Belogorsky regions.
Based on the results of visiting the above regions, a number of problematic issues were formed, which are reflected in the protocols of working trips, and ways to solve them are being worked out together with the Ministry of Transport— said the head of the committee of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea on construction, transport and fuel and energy complex Valery Kovalenko.

The parliamentarians also drew attention to the restoration of the paved road network in municipalities that are not included in the work plan for profiling dirt and gravel roads.
