Sevastopol citizen received two years in prison for … someone else's bank card
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Not the last role in the verdict was played by the reputation of the defendant.
In Sevastopol, the court delivered a guilty verdict in a criminal case against a 34-year-old local resident who had previously been repeatedly convicted. The Sevastopol resident was found guilty under paragraph “g” of Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft from a bank account).
It was established that in November 2022, using the bank card he found and realizing that the funds in the bank account were someone else’s property, the attacker paid for goods and services more than 20 times in Sevastopol stores and public transport. Thus, he stole more than 3.5 thousand rubles from the bank account of the victim— reports the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
The Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol, taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor and information about the identity of the perpetrator, sentenced the man to 2 years in prison in a special regime correctional colony.
